You can find nature’s miracles in every corner of our planet. They only need to be discovered! Capturing the expression of an image that tells a story can be as challenging as the greatest pleasures and achievements in life. A photograph is more than just an image – it is a story of passion, adventure and risk. My beginnings as a photographer were built on my admiration for art, while my desire to explore nature’s uniqueness brings the feeling of freedom more than anything else. When combined with artistic expression, it entirely changes the perception – ugly is suddenly beautiful. The challenge of traveling for long hours to remote areas has given me the opportunity to photograph some of nature’s most magical moments and to be exposed to a wide range of colourful human cultures.

I am just a Sicilian with a Canon camera. I was born in the little village of Cattolica, Sicily, at the crossroads of travellers coming from various civilizations. They embedded in my DNA the longing for distant places and the promise of a sudden revelation dormant in somewhere in the nature or in the eyes of a grizzly and polar bear.
